The Rowan Rangers – our tree

The Rowan Rangers

One photo is of two of our students at the Rowan building posing with your banner hung in our very own Rowan tree, beloved of visiting blackbirds and other thrushes.

The other photo is of our Rowan Rangers. Every Friday some students from Rowan go to Forest School where they do different activities amongst the beautiful trees and shrubs – they get to commune with and enjoy their environment through play, storytelling and exploration. The Rowan Rangers love trees very much and have put together this poem about one particular tree to express that love:
Our tree is big, kissable and huggable,
It has lots of branches and a knobbly trunk,
Birds live in our tree and make a nest,
Our tree is Ringley, Dingley and Dangley
With a rope and peeling bark,
You can climb our tree,
Our tree is kind.
